We Must Know These Differences

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

We must hear the voice of the Lord and follow Him. Following Him is certainly much different from not following Him. We must know the differences between His voice and the voices of our flesh, the voice of the world and the voice of the Devil. We must know the differences between God*s will and the will of our flesh. We must know the differences between God*s will and Satan*s will. We must know the differences between God*s will and the will of the world. The will of our flesh, the will of Satan and the will of the world are all always opposed to the will of God.

Mark 10:18: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Because God is the only one who is good, we need His will. Because He is all-powerful, all-knowing and loves us we need His will. Our flesh, the god of this world and the world will all lead us the wrong way.

Romans 7:18: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 John 2:16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The Lord*s will is to save us and take us to the paradise of Heaven to be with Him forever.

Luke 12:32: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father*s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

John 14:2-3: In my Father*s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Jesus is the only one who can receive us unto Himself there in Heaven. He is also the only One who helps us to live right here on earth. The life of one headed for Heaven is and should be much different than the life of one headed for the Lake of Fire. The life of one headed for Heaven can be and should be lived in the will of God. That life does not just go in a different direction, it has a different quality.

Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

John 10:10b: . . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

If Jesus has not even changed your temporary little earthbound life, how can you be sure that He will be able to change your eternity? It is foolish to refuse to let Him change your life.
